The Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt builds on the success of the Dragonfly Black and Red, by adding another level of refinement and quality. Featuring an advanced ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip, the Dragonfly Cobalt uses StreamLength asynchronous-transfer USB code, as well as having an ultra-low jitter clock, helping to bring greater resolution and clarity. With the minimum-phase slow roll-off filter in the DAC chip, the Dragonfly Cobalt is capable of an expressive sound, combining warmth and detail for both an exciting and smooth listening experience. Even with a 32-bit DAC chip, the Dragonfly Cobalt performs at 24-bit/96kHz, making it simple and easy to use with any PC without needing additional drivers installed. The Headphone DAC works perfectly with all your music, including streams from Spotify, TIDAL, YouTube and CD rips.

Audioquest have used their knowledge of noise dissipation in power supplies and applied it to the Dragonfly Cobalt, reducing the noise from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cell signals, enabling the Cobalt to preserve the low-level detail, especially in hi-res music. With the ESS Sabre 9601 headphone amp and bit-perfect volume control, the Dragonfly Cobalt combines power and control over the music, providing impressive dynamic contrast and excellent signal-to-noise ratio. The 2.1v output of the Cobalt makes it compatible with a wide range of headphones, including low-efficiency models.
